Random Acts of Kindness #SocialMomsLetters #MomKindness

Have you ever been a recipient of a Random Act of Kindness?
It feels just as good to do something kind for someone, as it does to receive that kind act.

I have witnessed plenty in my daily life. My kids hold open doors or pick up something that was dropped by a stranger or friend. They tell us how they've witness friends helping friends in school.

I do try to talk to them about being gentlemen and doing the right thing.

Today, I saw a Dad in a jeep trying to block the sun for his child's eyes, while they were sitting at a red light. While, it's a parent thing, it's also an act of kindness. He wasn't on his phone, or staring into space or being impatient. He saw a need and tried his best to fulfill it.

How often do we stop looking at our phones and take a look at others who need a smile?
We are all so busy, stress, rushed, late, and tired.

It takes only a few seconds to say Thank you, or Have a great Day.
Being kind doesn't fatten your wallet, but it does fatten your heart and soul.

Take moment today, tomorrow, anything really ...
Your kindness could make a huge difference in someone's life.

I bet it could make a huge difference in yours too.

Feeling the Burn with Capsimax #ad

Disclosure: I was provided the product for review purposes, all opinions are mine.

A few weeks ago, I began taking the Capsimax supplements before I ran or did any work outs.

The Capsimax Benetherm capsules are supposed to help burn metabolism and increase your energy, there fore, helping you lose weight, along with a healthy diet and exercise.

Capsimax contains Capsaicinoids, which are the naturally occurring compounds that cause the burning sensation, or heat, that we get from eating red chili peppers.

Recently, it has been reported that capsaicinoids help support a weight management regimen and to promote a healthy metabolism. In combination with other ingredients, capsaicinoids support weight management. This happens by the increase of thermogenesis (the production of heat in the body) and the fact that capsaicinoids support lipolysis (the use of fat for energy production).

How do I feel after taking these?
I definitely had more energy without any jitters. I felt better during and after my workouts. Have I seen any weight loss? A little.
I think it's important to remind everyone that results will vary by person and body type.
I do really like the product and feel it personally helped me.

It's back to School and Back to Scouting !

Right about now, many Councils around the U.S. are hosting Scout Nights at schools and churches.
Why?
It's Back To School and back to our Scout Year,

Typically, Scouting events run during the school year. There are Cub Scout Councils and Packs that take the summer off. If you have a Pack that likes to keep the scouts moving all summer long, like our Pack, then you're one of the lucky ones.

Scouting ha changed since my oldest began. Just last year, new programs were implemented and all of the existing leaders were learning as we went through the program with out scouts.
Recently, a new Beta rank was announced, which is for those boys in Kindergarten. They are Lion Cubs.

Unfortunately, our local area does not have the Lion Rank yet. I'm a bit jealous, because there are a large number of parents who are interested in starting the sons in scouting already.

What to expect at a Scout Night?
Of course, your Scout Recruiting Night will largely depend on who is at the meeting, the number of attendees, and the way they present. No two presentations will ever be the same.

You should receive essential information, such as meeting days/times/locations, fees, a calendar or at least dates of upcoming events. There will be an application to fill out and probably a fee to pay.
This year, our Council is offering the opportunity to purchase books at our Scout Night.

Making sure parents understand that each adult is a volunteer. Cub Scout Packs (and Boy Scout Troops) cannot function without volunteers. We know everyone's time is valuable, but it is essential for parents to be able to help in any way they can.

If you are interested in Scouting, go to Be A Scout.org
You'll find information about scouting, and in the middle of the web page, you can add in your zip code to find the Cub Scout Pack or Boy Scout Troop closest to you.
