The Fragrance Collection by Glade, Soy Based Candle Review

The Fragrance Collection by Glade Review

Soy Based Candle
Jasmine and Wild Orchid

I am not a huge fan of Soy candles. I do not feel like they permeate my home as much as some of the other candles types do.

I do love Glade candles though. Their basic 4oz jarred candles in almost any scent, makes my home delightful. The scented oil candles produced by Glade as well are one of my most favorites.

Today I am focusing on a candle I purchased at Target. It is “The Fragrance Collection Candle by Glade, Soy Based, Jasmine and Wild Orchid 2.0oz”.

This candle retailed for $2.99 but was marked on clearance to $2.54. I would have normally not purchased this candle at even the clearance price, but in my handy dandy coupon organizer, I held a $2.00 off coupon for ANY “The Fragrance Collection item”.I paid $0.54 for this particular candle.

I love any Jasmine scent and purple is my favorite color. The aroma in the jar is very pleasing. The shape of the votive is sleek and modern.

The candle has been lit for quite some time and I have yet to smell the Jasmine or Wild Orchid scent from a few feet away. So as I am at my computer, I have the candle just 20 inches or so from me and I still do not smell any of the candle’s aromas.

If I pick up the candle and sweep it just under my nose, the Jasmine scent is quite pleasant.

I am disappointed with this candle. I wanted to give this one a try as it was very minimal on my pocketbook and the Glade brand usually does not let me down.

If this candle scent were to come in any other of their candle forms, I would certainly stock up. But it looks like even with Glade, soy is just not working for me.

  1. I buy the Glade air freshners whose fragrances I like. One thing I don't like about them is you have to push down on the sprayer many times to get it to spray. Plus the tops are made so cheaply that l/2 the time they break grrrr:)

Thank you for sharing your ramblings with me
