Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop Sponsor - Broken Teepee Designs

If you have visited the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop, you've seen my sponsor, Broken Teepee Designs.
Patty Woodland is the creator of the beautiful jewelry you've seen in her Etsy Store.
Patty lives in Montana, where she hand makes each piece of jewelry.

I asked Patty to give a glimpse into her inspirations for her jewelry and life in general:

(Tara) What inspires you to create your pieces?(Patty)I am inspired mostly by color. I see combinations in nature and the everyday world. My beadbox is a treasure trove.Which leads to your second question.

(Tara) What comes first? the jewels or the layout of your design? (Patty)It's a mix; sometimes I will have an idea for a design swimming around in my head and I know exactly how it will work. Other times I just sit with my beads and they bring me to the design. The pair of earrings I use as my avatar is an example of the latter. I had no idea of what I was going to do with a stunning pair of London blue topaz ovals until I started sorting beads.

(Tara) How long have you been creating jewelry?(Patty) I have been making jewelry since 2005 but didn't really discover gemstones until a year later. I am self taught and still learning.

(Tara) What else do you love to do?(Patty) I have a small goat farm and love my goats. I make soap (I have a second shop on etsy Happy Goat Soap) and cheese, caramel and ice cream (which I don't sell) with their milk. My head goat Pricilla has a blog at www.pricillaspeaks.blogspot.com

I also have my blog http://www.brokenteepee.com/ where I do reviews and giveaways and write about my life on the Farm. It keeps me busy!

Definitely Check out Patty, her blogs (listed above) , twitter page, facebook page, and her Etsy store, which is a MUST !

If you have not already done so, you can enter the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop, which ends Sunday Night 11:59p EST. Broken Teepee Design has graciously offered a $50.00 Gift Certificate to her shop!
