My New Years Resolution - Get Fit

I am at an all time high non pregnancy weight. My resolution in 2011 is to not be so blah...
I have been a part of Spark People for a while now and have started out great but always fallen off the lose-weight wagon.
I am hoping now that i am blogging that not only will I make myself more responsible, but encourage people to join me.

I have been 1 week logging my food, exercise, and water intake. It's a harsh reality to see what I've actually consumed in a day. I have NEVER been a big water drinker and that's the hardest part.. The Water !!

I'm doing my best. I fill my water container and leave it in the front of the fridge. It's the 1st thing I see.
All the soda and juices are in the garage fridge.

I am heading back to the YMCA next week, using my Wii Fit and possibly looking into a Zumba game for the Xbox 360 Kinect..

Christmas Day, I thought I was having a heart attack. I am very vigilant about how my body speaks to me as my mom passed of a heart attack at the age of 42 and my father at the age of 55.
My husband and I read about the symptoms online as I know women's symptoms differ from Men's.
I decided NOT to go to the ER, though my brother was here and could have stayed with our sleeping boys.
I'm not sure what made me thing I was in danger, but I remained calm, checked my blood pressure (which is always low) and my heart rate was ok.

I will be making an appt with my PCP next week to have blood work and an EKG done. He's going to tell me 1st things 1st, Tara, lose weight...
So if you are in the need for a food journal, that's handy dandy on your ipod, iphone, or android, plus their website, please join me at Sparkpeople!

  1. You can do it. Don't do it alone. Ask for support. Do you have a good group on Spark People? If not, I highly recommend the gals at and Mamavation. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your ramblings with me
