  14. My favorite Valentine's Day was in 2001. My husband was in the military at the time, and he returned from a 6-month deployment that day. So happy to have him back home.

  21. It was a tough Valentine's Day this year. My husband, Scott, is in Afghanistan. He's been gone since Oct 29th 2010. I have two little boys, Patrick 7 1/2 & Tyler 3 3/4. We packed up all sorts of "thoughtful", "yummy" & "fun" things for their daddy and shipped it over. And to try and make it special for my two little guys at home with me I surprised them with 2 bunches of balloons, 2 hearts filled with candy & 2 teddy bears that said "I Love You" on them. They woke up Valentine's Day morning to find all this in their room. It was so cute to see their faces and smiles. This is my husband's second deployment in 3 1/2 yrs, and a second Valentine's Day missed. I hope it will be the last one we spend apart.
