83rd Annual Academy Awards – Red Carpet Report

Celebrity stylist, host of Style Network's "How Do I Look?" and Yoplait Light Two Week Tune Up spokesperson, Jeannie Mai gives her thoughts on Sunday night's Oscar red carpet looks

Makeup: I love that all eyes were on the lips of the ladies through the rose-bitten stains and vivacious rouge colors of the night. From Anne Hathaway and Sandra Bullock to even Natalie Portman and Marisa Tomei, red revealed the ladies of the night.

Hair: It was like hairspray has been banned off the red carpet with every lock looking unlocked and loose. From Cate Blanchett to Scarlett Johansson, hair was styled natural and windswept, romancing the red carpet!

Best Use of Color: Halle Berry took a nod for the nudes with her effervescent tone of beige against her caramel skin. Nude is a hard color to work with, but with the right hair, makeup, and jewels, you can make it memorable just like Halle did.

Best Dressed:

- Gwyneth Paltrow: Gwyneth stole the show on the red carpet. Instead of giving away shiny little Oscars, they should be giving out tiny Gwens. I don’t even care who took home Best Picture, Gwyneth won in mai eyes.

- Mila Kunis: Lavender was looking lovely on Mila this Oscars night. Not only is lace the freshest trend to launch off the runways for 2011, but she made Elie Saab proud to see her grace the red carpet with class.

- Jennifer Hudson: JHud had all eyes weight watchin' her unbelievable figure skim through the spotlight. This dress was a perfect match to highlight her well-earned curves and razor fine figure. And who doesn't love a weight loss that still keeps curves, bust, and booty in check!

- Hilary Swank: Swanky, Hilary, we’re all riding the swan train this Oscar season, and she brought a feathered train of her own.

- Jen Lawrence: Jessica Rabbit was a fictional character until Jen Lawrence emerged tonight. Less was way more with her sensual siren look, and with no accessories whatsoever and she blew most of the competition out of the water.

Best Red Carpet Moment: When Jennifer Hudson showed us her drop-dead-weight- bod. Her dress spelled Low-Carb couture.

Best couple: Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves win the award for best dressed. They were in sync, in style, sexy apart, and together.

Extra tip! Jeannie offers a tip of her own for any big event you may have coming up: Looking your best is also about feeling your best. Before your next big event, try a quick tune-up to give you that extra boost of confidence. I’m working with Yoplait Light and I love their Two Week Tune Up plan – you could lose five pounds in just two weeks which may help give you that extra boost (see Yoplait.com for full plan details).
