After his uncoordinated fall and arm break in kindergarten (involving a skateboard and ramp), I have been hesitant.
But recently I was given the opportunity to review a pair of Heely's and either I could try them (oh, that would make AFV) or allow my oldest to ~finally~ have a pair.
Guess which I chose ..
I let Luke make his 2 choices on style and he received the "Edge" Blue and Yellow Heely's. He generally wears a 2.5 sized Boys shoe, so I got him a size 3. The material seems durable, and I like the colors.
The Heely's came with the wheels in a bag, which I had to put in the shoe. The tool was provided and it was a simple process. He likes to run and glide, which freaks me out, I won't lie. I can just see him falling backwards and hitting his head. Our rule is he can wear them outside to play and sometimes if we have an errand, but NEVER to school. Not even if we take the wheels out. These are strictly an out of school shoe.
I had him practice on the back patio before heading out to play with his friends. He does well.
Here is his 1st attempt ever on his Heely's
And our interview afterwards
Luke has been practicing with his Heely's and is now ready to give you an update!
I am really happy with how these shoes have held up and that my son has not yet fallen or gotten injured (knock on wood!).
