Valentine's Day and your child

I received my Family Fun newsletter reminding me of Valentine's Day crafts for kids.

Do you do anything fun for or with your children for this l♥ve-ly holiday?

At Pre-school, we did crafts with the classes and everyone brought in a valentine. Elementary school, not so much..

I am not sure my 3rd grader will have anything out of the ordinary at school, but my kindergartner may.
We are not allowed baked-at-home items, only store bought, so all my baking will be reerved for family, friends, and neighbors.

I was thinking of having the boys make Valentines for Nana & Papa, Daddy and thier brothers..

I really love this one for Valentine's morning for the boys !!

Here is the link to the Family Fun Valentine's Section if anyone is interested

  1. I think it's a shame that the schools don't trust mothers to backe anymore.

  2. It is a shame that it has gotten to where you can't send home baked goods to schools anymore. I don't have any children of my own, but I always enjoyed giving something special to my nieces and nephews on this holiday, and others.

  3. I like your idea of having boys making Valentin's gifts.

  4. I used to bake cookies for my daughter's school events, but I suppose in this age of "peanut allergies gone amok" - it's better safe than sorry.

  5. We could buy treats at the store bakery, but parents couldn't make them themselves. Valentines Day was always special because it is my oldest son's birthday so we always brought in cupcakes and juice boxes.

Thank you for sharing your ramblings with me
