Followers (by Dove)

I do not have any daughters, but if I did, I would want them to have positive role models that lead them to a bright future. Many of my friends have daughters. My friends, I can see them trying to guide their daughters in a positive manner.

If you have a daughter, a niece, and god-daughter, be sure to show them how beautiful and wonderful they are! Inside and out.

Based on statistics gathered, Did you know?

Dove global research reveals the following about beauty anxiety:
•72 percent of girls (ages 10-17) feel tremendous pressure to be beautiful
•Only 11 percent of girls (ages 10-17) are comfortable using the word beautiful to describe   themselves
•When girls feel bad about their looks more than 60 percent globally (age 15 to 17) avoid normal daily, activities such as attending school, going to the doctor, or even giving their opinion

And we’ve uncovered the following stats about role models:
•More than four million girls around the world do not have a role model
•20 percent of girls cite media as a source of pressure to be beautiful
•Only four percent of girls look to world leaders or business leaders as role models

Dove is committed to inspiring all women and girls to reach their full potential (by caring for themselves and each other), and everyone has the opportunity to make a difference in a young girl's life - it only takes one hour. You can stay up to date on the latest at www.Facebook.com/Dove, where you can join the conversation and share who you think is a woman that deserves to be famous - be it your grandmother, a former teacher or your sister.

  1. We love Dove in our home! And I've loved their "real women" campaign over the past few years.
