A photo tour of @GreekPeakResort #sponsored

Disclosure: I received complimentary recreation in exchange for promotion. No monetary compensation was received. All opinions are 100% mine.

Earlier this month [January 2014], we took our children to Upstate New York for a long weekend. It was their first experience seeing snow and we had a blast.

While we decided to stay in Corning, NY, we were lucky enough to be able to have some great fun at Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland, NY. My husband had always wanted to go to Greek Peak as a kid, but never had the chance. This was a family vacation made for memories!

Greek Peak Mountain Resort was opened in 1957 and just recently underwent some renovations to update this amazing resort. We did not stay at the Hope Lake Lodge, which is across from the mountain, but the photos online provide us with a wonderful idea of how nice it its.

We were given the opportunity to Ski at the mountain. I did not feel comfortable sending the boys up the mountain and with only 1 day at Greek peak, we decided to forgo that activity. My Husband however, had skiing on the brain!

The boys and I spent most of our time at the Adventure Center. This area of the resort holds so much fun!
There was a rope climbing course, which was closed most likely due to the conditions. No rope walking in the snow ! We did go tubing, which seemed to be a favorite for all the boys. We loved the covered conveyor that took us up the hill to go tubing. I have no idea how many times the boys went down that hill.
I ended up going down backwards every time i got in the tube. How does that happen ?
The conveyor also took us up to the Zip line course.

Zip lining was awesome. Of course, had I wore glasses or goggles, I would have been able to see so much more. Luke and I went first. We suited up in the Adventure Center and received our instructions. We had to complete the test line just outside of the center before we headed up to the actual course. We decided not to do the full run. If only the 1 zip line run was breathtaking, I can only imagine how the amazing full course most of been. Hubby and Luke zip lined after [Lucky Luke went twice, I know].

We also hoped on the Nor'easter Mountain Coaster. It took a great deal of coercing to get CJ to agree to ride the coaster, but I promised I would go slow and he finally agreed. Anthony, Luke, and Hubby each went alone and I;m not sure they went slow. I did however have a small mishap on the coaster. I was taking off my glove and whoosh... it flew away! So my video was taken with a gloved hand on the brake and a freezing hand on my camera. I am grateful to the staff who retrieved it for me !!!

Greek Peak also boasts an Indoor Water Park, which we did not see. We decided would would like to go back again and stay at the mountain to experience so much more ..

Thank You to the Director of Marketing, Travis, for allowing my family of 5 to experience Greek Peak Mountain Resort !

Check out Greek Peak and all of their Social Media !

So you want to start a blog? Words of Wisdom I wish I knew in the beginning #boostyourblog @BloggerPR

There are many things I am still learning, when it comes to my blog.
At first, I was all about going it alone. I had no idea the plethora of blogger groups on Facebook or via other websites.
I would host giveaways from my own pocket and it eventually took it's toll.
I judge my blog against others even though our content or style is completely different.
↑(I still do this by the way)

Of course I'm jealous of my blogging friends who get to review a car, or have the opportunity to be sponsored and fly to conferences. I think, I could do that. But I know my limits and really, I have no extended family to care for my kids if I'm gone and my husband has to work.

Here are some things I have learned:
○Make friends. You are not competing against someone else's blog. Your content should be about something you like, that you love ! Whether it's Food, Photography, or Coupons.
○Join Blogger groups ! I am a part of several groups, some one Facebook, some on their own sites. It pays (sometimes literally), to join. You can meet some really fabulous PR reps!
○Don't expect to get rich by blogging. If you are looking for a full time job, Blogging can be that if you choose, but the pay may not be what you expect. I follow very established bloggers who can honestly "clear" may $1,000 a month. And this is with followers in the 6 figures.
○Don't be afraid to ask. My background is in admin, and to speak in front of others causes me stress, but if I want something, I don't hesitate to ask. The worst that can happen is that I'll get a NO. But that YES feels so good !

It feels good when I can blog everyday, or get content scheduled. My life as a SAHM has many outlets, but I do love my blog. I love sharing my family life, our achievements and even our fails. I've met so many wonderful people online and have been blessed to meet some in real life. I love that I can include my family and they enjoy it !

If you are a blogger, share your site with me. I love finding new blogs.
You never know what great ideas are out there !

Prom Season is quickly approaching. Where will you get your daughter's dress ? #sponsored

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions are 100% mine. Photos are credited to Dress First.
It's been a very long time since I was in High School and searching for a Prom Dress wasn't any fun.
Now, Prom Dresses are everywhere, even the Internet. They are elegant, whimsical, and flirty. They flow and shimmer. Where will you shop for your daughter's dress for her 1st Prom? or even her 2nd?
Dress First has a wonderful selection of Prom Dresses for every body type. Whether you a tall, skinny, short, of even one of the plus sizes, you can find a Prom Dress that will meet your needs.
Available in Plus Size

The dress shown above is the A-Line/Princess Sweetheart Floor-Length Chiffon Prom Dress With Ruffle Beading. I would have chosen a dress like this for my prom. It's flowing and flirty. The straps would have been perfect and held up my "assets" appropriately being a larger busted girl even in high school. The Royal Blue/Chiffon color is my favorite!
You can choose from the most recently released Prom Dress from 2014 and when you think "New Release", you think big bucks flying out of your wallet. DON"T ! The prices for the Prom Dresses from Dress First are extremely reasonable. Dress First even offers Free Shipping on ALL Dresses !!
Check out this Mermaid V-neck Sweep Train Chiffon Charmeuse Prom Dress With Beading from the Prom dress 2014 line. It's absolutely beautiful

While reading more about Dress First and their Prom Dresses, I realized these dresses are Made to Order. You can choose the Custom Size and have the dress made specific to your body.

This is not simply, off the rack, prom dresses. These beautiful dress are not only affordable, ship free, but are made to fit your [daughter's] body. This is something not many companies offer anymore.

This standard is another thing that sets Dress First apart from others.
The majority of the dresses I found were strapless or had no sleeves, but they do have a smaller selection of dresses
The Mermaid Scoop Neck Sweep Train Evening Dress With Lace is breathtaking. This prom dress is also available in larger sizes and offers short sleeves. The colors are elegant and any girl wearing this dress will turn heads.

So this season, when you are getting ready to look for the perfect prom dress for your princess,
Think Dress First.

This Christmas gift has exceeded my expectations

My youngest is always left behind. The bigger boys go and play with their friends.

He gets the hand me down clothes, the previously used toys , even his Spiderman Scooter and his 1st bike used to be Luke's [Circa 8 years ago, WOW].

I purchased, I mean Santa thought he should have a fun cool toy that no one else had.
The Fliker J2 Junior 3 wheeled Scooter is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!
I truly mean it. CJ loves this thing. He was hesitant at first but now he has great confidence.

He brothers try to ride it, but they are too big !
Cj can get out some energy on his new scooter and loves to ride it as we walk the dog in the afternoon.

He just wiggles and this scooter glides. I mean really glides... It's fabulous!

When you make a guess on a gift purchase and it turns out to be amazing, it's the best feeling in the world !

Looking forward to our New York trip @Staybridge #sponsored

Disclosure: My family received a promotional rate in regards to an upcoming vacation. All opinions belong to my family or myself.
No monetary compensation was received.

When you go on a family vacation, how to you handle accommodations?
When my family travels, we try and find a hotel with more than one bedroom, or a shared room with bunk beds. We've all shared one hotel room on occasion, and if it's for one night, we can tolerate it, but generally, we all like our space.

We are planning a long weekend in Upstate new York and my husband decided we were staying at the Staybridge in Corning.
This hotel has exactly everything we will need plus the creature comforts of home !

We are staying in the Two Bedroom Suite, It offers 2 bathrooms, one bedroom with a Queen bed and the other bedroom with 2 full beds.  There is a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove top, microwave, dishwasher and all your glassware, pots, pans and utensils provided in the room. This will be great because it would be expensive eating out at every meal. There are Flat Screen HD televisions in each room and a DVD player in the main area of the suite. The boys will enjoy the indoor swimming pool and hot tub. To save on packing too many clothes, we'll be taking advantage of the free guest laundry on site. I'm looking forward to the breakfast buffet [every morning] which is included with our stay. Free WiFi throughout the hotel, which will please everyone.
They also have an on site gym with treadmills so I can still run.

They are also located right across from the Corning Museum of Glass, which we have visited a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time!

I look forward to sharing photos and a video tour of the hotel and all that the Staybridge Corning has to offer !

I've lived Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday, you just don't compare ;)

Super Simple Breakfast recipe from Pinterest, Pancake Bites

I love searching Pinterest for new wonderful tings. I love to look for new recipes. We sometimes fall into a food rut and I don't like to hear those  *not again* sighs from my family.

I wanted my kids to have a yummy breakfast this past Saturday before they went to the circus with their Aunt. I found a wonderful pin on Pinterest. Of course, I kicked myself and though "Why didn't I think of that"

Pancake bites are fun, Simple and easy. You can add whatever you like.
Make your pancake bites sweet with chocolate chips or fruit or make is savory with a breakfast meet. You can make it healthy by adding grains to it. The choices are endless !!
All yo have to do is use your favorite pancake mix, pour into muffin tins [mine were sprayed with cooking spray), add fruit, nuts, sausage, bacon... bake 350 for 12-14 minutes
I used Chocolate Chips for the boys and Blueberries for myself.
My oldest doesn't like syrup, so picked them up and ate them like a muffin. The other 2 boys cut theirs and added syrup.
If I had not added blueberries to them, I wouldn't have gotten any at all.
They were a HUGE success !!!
Try these the next time you have a craving for pancakes, you won't be disappointed!

WooBamboo Eco Toothbrush #sponsored @tomoson

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Hubby and I have been trying out WooBamboo Eco Toothbrushes.
We received 2 sizes, so I took the smaller toothbrush and my husband has the larger one.
The difference in these toothbrushes vs the regular plastic ones, is actually a large one. The WooBamboo Eco Toothbrushes are an eco friendly alternative.

You don't have to worry about these bamboo toothbrushes living in a landfill for the next 100 years. These are sustainable, organically grown, biodegradable, antimocrobial, and panda-friendly!
The bristles are soft and get in between each tooth.
The only thing you may notice about this toothbrush is the texture of the wood when it's wet and in your mouth. It took me a couple of days to get used to have the feeling of the bamboo.

All in all, we very much like the WooBamboo Eco Toothbrushes.
The WooBamboo Shop offers different size handles, bristles (soft, medium, and supersoft).

If you are looking to change the footprint you leave on the earth, give WooBamboo a try !
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

100 Miles 100 Days update

I just wanted to give a small update.
I posted the other day that I accepted the challenge to run 100 miles in 100 days.
As of today, I am 10.6 miles into that goal.

I would like to be disciplined enough to say that by Sunday I will be close to 20 miles.
That's my goal to strive for.
