The new California Pizza Kitchen will rock you @tbbloggers @calpizzakitchen #NEWCPK #spon

Disclosure: I receive one or more products in exchange for promotion and review from California Pizza Kitchen in association with the Tampa Bay Bloggers.

Have you been to California Pizza Kitchen?
Before October 9th, I had not.
I had walked by there several times with my family, but never ventured in.

Along with several other Tampa Bay Bloggers, I sampled California Pizza Kitchen's new beverages and food menu. I have to say, I'm a fan !

California Pizza Kitchen has recently renovated their Tampa location and their menu. While I did not have anything to compare it to, I will say, it's quite nice.

I've never seen an indoor restaurant with retractable windows, but CPK has them !

We began with some Adult and Kid friendly beverages.
The Strawberry Mango Cooler [kid friendly] was refreshing with fresh strawberries and natural fruit flavorings. The Blueberry Ginger Smash has fresh blueberries as well as Monin Organic Agave Nectar, oh, and some Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whisky.
This was my favorite drink.

The last drink took some coaxing for me to sample, and honestly, I only took a sip or 2. The California Roots was a hit with most of the other bloggers on hand, but the fresh avocado in the drink [Yes, you read that correctly] just made it difficult for me to enjoy. I did walk around with fennel salt on my nose for a few minutes though.

We sampled some delicious appetizers and a Harvest Kale Salad. I won't go into detail about each one, but the Sunny Side Up Bacon + Potato Pizza was my fav out of the appetizers. I would have never thought to put a fried egg on a pizza, but it worked !

The entrees served were Fire-Grilled Rib-eye, Hearth - Roasted Halibut, Cedar Plank Salmon. The  Fire Grilled Rib-eye was hands down the best. It was cooked properly and was tender and juicy !!
Seasonal vegetables are used in the dishes. Rice flour is used on the pizza dough and the Tampa  CPK is certified gluten free

For dessert, They brought us Salted Caramel Pudding, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Butter Cake, and S'Mores. I did not sample the S'Mores, but I took a bite of the Pumpkin Cheesecake and a dessert spoonful of the Salted Caramel Pudding and they were both delicious. I would highly recommend them. But the Butter Cake, of the Butter cake with the vanilla ice cream and housemade whipped cream... Yes, oh yes !

Now, I know there are parents out there who would go alone and enjoy a date night, but truly, this can be a family experience. CPK has a kids menu that will please any palate.
From crispy and grilled chicken to pasta and salad to pizza, even your picky eater )like mine) should have no problem here.

Some of our fantastic bloggers even had the opportunity to toss dough...
Yes, there are pictures... and video ! it was fabulous !
Head to your local California Pizza Kitchen, or if you happen to be in the Tampa area be sure to visit the International [Mall] Plaza location.  2223 N. Westshore Blvd., #189  Tampa, FL 33607
