It's going to be a GLOWING Good Time !! RAC Pack Race Ambassador for the Cure 2015 @tbbloggers @komensuncoast #ad #bebrave #RACAmbassador

Disclosure: I received an entry to run in exchange for promotion as well as one for giveaway.

Last year, bestie and I ran this amazing race.

I ran in honor of my Cub Scout Den Leader Lori, who is now,3 years post Diagnosis and surgeries and is doing so well.

But I also ran for my fellow blogger, Steph from Orangespoken.com . Her mom wasn't as lucky. I know everyday that millions of women are diagnosed and some don't get the chance to be a survivor. So I also ran for #bebrave / #TeamJudy.

This year, my schedule is just so busy, that I'm not able to attend the Absolutely Fabulous Glow Run on October 3rd at Albert Whitted Park

So What is new for the Race in 2015?
The 2015 Race for the Cure is STAYING UP LATE with a Race that is GLOWING to be awesome!
Running is  downtown St. Petersburg and  with the venue Albert Whitted Park , hosting this important run.

Participants can join us this year for our FIRST ever nighttime, GLOW run and help make downtown St. Pete PINK! Get GLOWING! Each Race participant who fundraises $150 or more will receive a MEGA GLOW KIT for the Race!

Continue the party after the Race in downtown St. Petersburg with special deals for Race participants from local merchants!

Here are some facts !
*Komen Florida Suncoast was founded in 1999.

*They work in 6 counties: Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota.

*They fund programs that provide breast cancer  education, screening, diagnosis, treatment and  follow‐up to uninsured and under‐insured women and  men in our Service Area.

*They have funded over $14 million in grants in our  history since 1999!

*Up to 75 percent of net proceeds fund local education, screening and treatment and the remaining 25 percent funds national breast cancer research through Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Grants Program, the largest non-government funder of breast cancer research.

*They have provided funding for approximately 41,500 mammograms, and because of our programs, 1,250 cases of breast cancer have been detected and treated!

  1. I would run for several friends, two who have lost their lives and two who fought the battle and won.

  2. I have run in Susan G Komen events before, this is a cause near and dear to me. I would run for every woman who has fought this battle but even more so for my daughter to never have to fight for her life from breast cancer. <3
