All over the Facebook and Pinterest, I am seeing a new trend.
Less is more.
We all know this, and at the holidays, the vast majority of parents go overboard with gifts.
This year, we've decided to try the less is more approach.
Our kids are spoiled. Not that they have the latest and greatest, they just have a lot !
While we were on vacation recently, I found lots of people posting about "Want, Need, Wear, Read".
I talked to hubby and we decided that we needed to implement this in our own home.
Our boys always get too much from everyone. Their "must have" and "instant gratification" attitudes, get in the way of what we really want the holidays to represent.
So, I created this page and will print it for all 3 boys.
The Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles are all on board with this idea, so I'll be able to share the list with them and they can pick and choose.
Hubby and I are hoping for a less stressful, joyful spreading holiday this year.
We'll volunteer more, bake more, share more, sing more and hopefully, when all is said in done, feel more gratitude, enjoy more time with our loved ones, and appreciate the blessings in our lives.
We're going forward with the WNWR Plan.
We recently went to Target and the boys and I took photos of items they wanted and needed. I compiled them into lists and have given our family members each a copy.
I also created gift tags for us to use.
Now I just have to shop !
