The first Asian-Fusion in Oldsmar, Tin Drum Asia Cafe #rockthewok #YearOfTheMonkey

Disclaimer: As part of the Tampa Bay Bloggers, I was provided a meal and a gift card in exchange for my honest review. All opinions  (and photos) are my own.

This year, is the Year of The Monkey. I'm not big on Chinese Zodiac, but I found the calendar placemat interesting. I'm not a monkey, but an Ox. As an animal, I find that appropriate.

Tin Drum Asia Cafe is the first of it's kind in our local area. The Asian Fusion cuisine offers and flavorful kick to your palate ! I don't usually eat Asian cuisine, I'm not a spicy kind of girl, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try something new.

The Tin Drum Cafe is beautiful and colorful, you can see your food cooking and the decor sets the mood.

We were given several dishes to try, and it seemed that they became spicier as they were placed in from of me.
The first dish, the Peking Short Rib Noodles, started us off, and had a small kick.
The short ribs were tender and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I love the touch of the glazed carrots.

My favorite dish was the Chinatown Tacos. It's the taco version of the Peking short ribs and was my favorite dish. I didn't get too much heat from it and the entire taco was delectable.

The next couple of dishes were much too spicy for me, I'm a wimp, I guess.
I did share them with my bestie, who was brave enough to eat these dishes and give me her opinion.

The Mango Chicken Stir Fry was a hit. She wasn't sure about the green peppers with the Mango, but loved the dish anyway.

Not pictured is the Tikka Masala, I am told that dish was absolutely amazing. It was gone in a heartbeat. It contains a Spicy Indian Curry, Cilantro, Tomatoes and Sauteed Chicken and served over white rice.

The last dish served was the Kickin' Kimchi. Bestie was not brave enough to try this, but my friend and fellow Cub Scout/Boy Scout mom was and she said it was S-P-I-C-Y !
I'm really glad I didn't try this. I may still be feeling the kick.

I am going to say, if presentation is everything and I didn't know there was spicy ingredients, I would have eaten it all. If you and your family love Asian Fusion cuisine, check out Tin Drum Asia Cafe. Bring the kids, you can get a FREE Kids Meal with the purchase of an adult entree.
