Why settle for everyday pizza? We made Pizza Bombs !

Once again, we set out to find a new way to repurpose a favorite meal ...
PIZZA !!!!!!!

We've made our own pizza from pre-made dough, done calzones, French bread pizza , but the other night, we tried something new.

We came across a Pinterest Pin from Sizzling Eats and her Pepperoni & Cheese Pizza Bombs.

I took a family poll and in a unanimous decision, we tried something new !
The finished product

Since we are a family of 5 with 3 growing boys who ADORE pizza, I tripled the recipe provided.

We also added our own flare...

Our ingredients were:
3 rolls of Crescent Dough
Pizza Sauce
Pepperoni
Salami
Fresh Mozzarella
Freshly diced Roma tomatoes
Basil
Salami
1 tbsp. melted butter
Oregano

We followed directions  with preparation for the Pizza bombs, but added our own ingredients

Ingredients we used


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Spray a muffin tin with non stick
  3. Open your crescent dough and lay each triangle over an open muffin tin space (I found it easier to use my cutting board)
  4. Add one teaspoon of your favorite Pizza or pasta sauce to each triangle
  5. Add your own favorite ingredients
  6. Wrap each triangle over and fold into a ball
  7. Use pastry brush to top with melted butter
  8. Sprinkle with herbs (we used oregano)
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown
  10. Serve with an additional side of warm pizza or pasta sauce
  11. Enjoy while still warm and gooey.

There were no leftovers. Everyone agreed that this should be something we add to our rotating monthly meal menu.

Our Favorite Breakfast ... Remastered

We love breakfast for dinner, but sometimes, the same old things gets... well... old...

So I went searching Pinterest for options to change up our favorite meals.

We start with Pancakes and Bacon. Definitely #1 on the list of breakfast for all 5 of us ! As I searched, I would ask the opinions of the boys. Some of the items I found were not received terribly well, except for the one I am going to share with you today.

Pinterest took me to the website Lade Behind The Curtain and her Buffet Pancake Dippers.

Here is what you will need:
Pancake mix
Bacon
Maple Syrup
Griddle (or Pan if that is how you make pancakes) Set mine at 350 degrees
Non-stick spray (optional)

In the "How To" video, she used non-stick cooking spray on her griddle, which I never do, so I listed it optional. Also, she used half of a strip of bacon in each of her dippers. We chose to use a full strip of bacon. We ♥ Bacon !!!

So here is how it went down..
Cooked a full package of bacon in the oven
Made pancake batter
Put batter in my handy squeeze bottle
Created a rectangular pancake on the hot griddle
Put a piece of bacon on pancake
Added a little pancake batter over the bacon
Flipped when ready

Served with maple syrup, a fruit plate and devoured by my family !
