Sharing my favorite Coconut Cream Pie Recipe and topping the pie with fun icing tips ! #ad

I am sharing with you my absolute favorite recipe for Coconut Cream Pie.
My husband asks for this pie for his birthday and I make it 2 or 3 times a year in addition to that.

I truly believe the secret is adding the coconut milk. It really does add a smoothness to this pie.

Before I begin any recipe, I always lay out my ingredients. I teach my boys this. I want to make sure everything is measured and ready to go. I'd rather wash dishes and not rush to pour things, but having everything ready and within arms reach.

Unfortunately with this pie, both of the deep dish crusts I purchased, were broken. We didn't mind because we covered it up with whipped topping. I typically let this chill overnight, though it is ready to go in 4 hours.

I polled my friends on Facebook to help choose the tips I was going to use with the whipped topping. I like to make the top as sweet as the pie itself. However, the 1st tip  I used, was not cooperating with the topping. Either the topping was too light and airy or we just need real icing for it.

So here is the finished pie.

And here is the pie with the addition of toasted coconut flakes

So the Icing Tips I received to review are here ↓

I have never owned any of the larger ones, so I'm itching to bake so I can use them.
The package also came with disposable and 2 reusable bags.

I think that regular icing will look amazing piped through these !

Here are the 1 tips I used with the whipped topping.
